We have discovered that the F4 button opens up some kind of console, and thought maybe that would give us some insight as to what we are doing wrong, but it just says 'Attempting to load Treehouse' and then just does nothing, or it says something about 'Failed to connect', or something about attempting to join unity lobby then failing to connect or something of the sort. Other times, it just does nothing when we click it. Sometimes it seems like we are going to connect, and it goes to a black screen, but then the game just seems to restart and go back to the menu. It seems like nothing we do changes the outcome, and we are just unable to connect. We have also tried disabling our firewall, just in case that would fix it.

I have also had my friend click host P2P, and that didn't work.īasically, instead of writing out everything we have tried, I think we have tried every different combination of joining via steam, different host buttons, manual connect, restarting our game multiple times, changing the beta to the other variant (I believe the old online beta version or w/e it is). I have tried having my friend host, with their ports properly forwarded, and that has not worked both via steam join game/invite to game, and along with manual connect. I have tried hosting game and having everyone join via steam, that doesn't work either, along with host P2P. I have tried hosting and having my fiance who is on the same network connect to my game via my internal IP, however that does not work either. I am currently unable to port forward in my current situation, however we have tried using hamachi and we are unable to connect via that. My friends (and fiance living with me) is unable to connect to my game when I host, and I am unable to connect to my friends when they host. Sorry, I am probably going to miss something I typed out before. Ugh, I already wrote this whole thing and accidently clicked the library button on steam and lost all my lengthy post that I just wrote, so here goes attempt #2 at writing this out.
